Camping Weekend review – Lake Garda (San Felice del Benaco)

Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake, is a popular summer holiday destination for many European people. The beautiful nature, the lake, the nice weather and the Italian atmosphere, it's indeed a great combination. Last summer we stayed for a few days at Camping Weekend in a nice Bungalow Tent. You can find out our Camping Weekend review below.

Bungalow Tent at Camping Weekend (SelectCamp)

We booked the bungalow tent pictured above via SelectCamp. The booking process via their site was easy. They also offered the flexibility to choose the arrival and departure date ourselves and not being limited to a minimum stay of one week. The bungalow tent was clean and spacious enough for 2 adults and two children of 4 and 7 years old. The pit itself was not very big if you also parked your car on it. (the other option was to put the car on the parking lot before the entrance of the camping). Toilets and showers are regurarly cleaned and we never found them to be dirty. Other travel agents like VacanceSelect also offer other types of loding like Airlodges, Glamping Tents or mobile homes. Do check them out! As the camping is not that big, all amenities like the pool, restaurant are in easy walking distance. A small playground near the swimming pool and restaurant: dsc00896 The view from the restaurant and pool area: dsc00902 The large pool and toddler pool (in front) dsc00908 A slide and another pool dsc01034 We found the pool area to be just big enough for the amount of people on the camping. The water was warm enough except for the pool below the slide. Not pictured are two whirlpools (with the warmest water). Keep in mind it is mandatory to wear a swimming cap at this camping. We liked the outdoor restaurant, buzzing but spacy and not overcrowded. The food was fine too (just don't expect gastronomic food though :-)) More info, check it out:
